The Coast Guard Auxiliary has been tasked with assisting the Coast Guard and other government and private agencies with reporting ATON and PATON discrepancies. Reporting forms are available from the National website.
Flotilla 12-02 and Div 12 were honored at the D5SR Conference in September for the work done in the area of ATON, PATON, and Chart updating. This is a result of the efforts by members throughout the Division. During 2008, The members of Division 12 conducted a series of ATON patrols that resulted in completely surveying all ATONS and channel depths for both the seaside and bayside of the Eastern Shore. Approximately 400 ATONS and PATONS were checked and photographed for the local ANT teams as well as for use in boating safety classes.
